The swiss-hema federation consists of it’s members clubs, wicht represent the federation in their work of practicing HEMA in switzerland.
To represent their interests and the federation as to coordinate the work of the commissions the board is electet by the general assembly.

Kolja Klein – president
I’m fencing historical martial arts since 2004 and is trainer at gladius et codex since 2012. My fascination of historical martial arts roots in the complexity of the system, the variety of weapons and contexts of use. I love to discover and test the principles of fighting in all aspects like body mechanics, psychology, techniques and their evolution. Even, or because of I’m not a historian, I love to get in a practical discourse and exploration of possible interpretation and their places in the overall system of fighting what we call HEMA.
HEMA is my passion, so I always worked towards its promotion and tried to pave the way for HEMA opportunities and its recognition as a sport and martial art.
Michael Müller-Hewer – vice president
I’m a German fencing master living in Switzerland practising stage fight and historical fencing since 1984. For 20 years I worked as actor-combatant and fight choreographer for cinema and theatre in France. Since 1990 I teach historical fencing and stage fighting. In 1996 I obtained the diploma of fencing master in 5 weapons of the German Academy of Weapons (Akademie der Fechtkunst Deutschlands). Author of “Bilikat – Le beau combat”, the practice of Celtic fight in Switzerland developed around my teaching at the Lausanne University UNIL (group Cladio 2002 – 2012). I’m the head instructor of CALHISTAR, the historical fencing group of the « Cercle des Armes de Lausanne» (CAL). My personal web site: www.jeuxdepees.fr
Jonathan Hily – treasurer
I’m Jonathan Hily. Living in St-Imier, founder and president of an HEMA club at La Chaux-de-Fonds since 2013. Started HEMA in 2010 in France. Involved in Swiss-Hema in the instructors commission since 2017. Working as project manager in sports timing and scoring. I used to fulfil treasurer position in other associations.
