Intendet for: Beginners Intermediate Advanced All Levels Reenactors & Living History Public Audience (Non-Practitioners)
The goal of this workshop is to introduce French fencing during the time of Louis XIV, as taught by the masters Liancourt (1686), Girard (1740), and Angela (1763).
A brilliant yet efficient style of fencing, where dexterity of the hand and precision of movement triumph over all else. A refined art of fencing that combines speed and practicality, harmony and elegance.
A selection of weapons will be provided. If you own a smallsword or foil, you are welcome to bring it along. For training, appropriate attire is required: sports shoes, a tracksuit, and a t-shirt. Leather gloves are recommended.
